Hello lovely readers,
Here I got another touristic place to visit for you, once again at Alexanderplatz. The TV-Tower / Fernsehturm! I walked up to this big building and needed to buy tickets outside. Sometimes when you buy a ticket, the monitor says you need to wait three hours, but sometimes you can get in, right away.
Being lucky and being able to wait inside, I sat myself down and waited until it was my time. When you are walking towards the start, they lead you to a photo booth kind of idea. They have a greenscreen and a hat or something similar. You will make a funny face and can buy this photo the end, obviously very expensive.
You will be checked by security guards and then you walk to a hall and wait for the elevator. It only takes 40 seconds to reach 203 meters. The elevator goes 6 meters per second! That is extremely fast and you will feel it in your ears. And with millions of visitors each year it can take a while since there are only 400 people allowed in the tower. And I must say, that is more than enough!
When you are out of the elevator you can look through the windows, and will the see the entire city. It is beautiful to see and there are some stands with information about the direction (and place) you are looking at. There is also a bar where you can have a drink and have the ultimate experience, such as if you go a level up and have dinner in the TV-tower. Of course, you need reservations for this. You will have a 360-degree panoramic view. And it is also possible to have breakfast at the restaurant on Sunday mornings.
If you want to visit the TV-tower: Panoramastraße 1A, 10178 Berlin, Germany
