Hello lovely readers!

Today was my last day in The Netherlands (out of 8 days). I enjoyed myself so much, catching up with family and friends!

There was even a birthday, so I could see everyone. Which was very important for me, I didn’t see some family members for 18 months or so.

I think there never has been a moment like this. I just felt really sad going back to Berlin, Germany. Normally I don’t feel like this and I’m usually really excited to go back!

For now: there’s 2 hours left of the 7,5 hours travel from home. I feel good about it. No major delays as I’m used to and Monday back to work!

Hello lovely readers!

Last week I arrived in the Netherlands after a long train-journey of 7 hours! But again: it was all worth it! A long sit, and a lot of people. And after that I was really home again, because home is where my family and friends are! Every time when I go back it’s a different world between Soestdijk and Berlin.

Difference of going to the supermarket: Here they have cute kids asking for stamps for furry animals & in Berlin we have homeless people and their dogs. Quite the difference!

All I could think of was "Ice, Ice, Baby!". Since I am in the Netherlands, there has been a (big) storm. A storm called "Ciara", where Dutch people strangely enough, pronounce it as "Kyra". As for now, I am looking through the big windows in the diner-room, where the tiny pieces of ice fall down.

Since I arrived… We had a birthday, updated my website, found a house and last but not least.. went to the gym after two years! And now it is just very windy, rainy and icy outside! And a few days back I went to the "Auto prof" a garage fair in Gorinchem. I found some nice details between the stands, which the guys wouldn't have seen, because they were only looking at the tools.

For now: My holiday is almost over. We are one week in and only 24 hours to go, in The Netherlands. I did a lot of things; I didn't expect I would do. For example: going to the gym in my holidays! It was 1,5 years ago since I saw a gym from the inside. But, in the end it was really fun to do with the family!

Tomorrow I will be back in the train, for another 7 hours. Normally it would feel good to be back in Berlin, but for now I do not have the need to go back to Berlin. I know it will be super busy from the moment I will enter that front door. I need to pack all my stuff and decide what I can sell, throw away or keep.
