BERLIJNSEMEID X

Hello lovely readers,

Last night I arrived back in The Netherlands for a weekend. It was great going back with the train again. The hours of sitting there are not my thing, I am so impatient! I made it out and was super happy to see my family again.

This morning I woke up at 5:30 am to see the sunrise at my favorite park: the park next to Castle Groeneveld. I was walking around and did not see anyone. I did not even know if I was allowed to be there so early, but I really wanted to make beautiful pictures. There was some dawn, which made the photos even better.

I captured a little piece of the moon, with the pink and purple skies. This is happiness for me. Creating beautiful photos in a place where I could wander around and still have my family close. I always loved the park but it makes it more special when you are not able to visit the park. The same with my family and friends.

Hello lovely readers,

As it is still October... Berliner Light Festival started. I never heard of it before! But there is a whole “tour” you can walk around Berlin with the main buildings with different colors of lights. You can take tours at agencies or you can choose to walk with every one else and just look for the buildings. I found a map with the different places.

I went to Brandenburger Tor, the Dom Cathedral and the TV tower. It was magical! I hope to see more of it, since it was really hard to photograph. First, it was in the dark and second, there were so many people I could barely see the lights since I am not very tall.

I must say it feels free to travel around the city and explore places I have never been. It is a great time! I wonder what the Christmas season will give me during the winter. Is there going to be snow in Berlin this year? I hope so! I haven’t seen snow in years, how beautiful and magical would it be to get some snow in Berlin, in the year I arrived here?

Hello lovely readers!

A big crowded place in a big city. For me Alexanderplatz is the craziest place in Berlin. The most crowded place. It's filled with dancers, singers and tourists. Mostly tourists and Primark. I must say, I went to the Primark at Alexanderplatz and it was madness. So many people and so much items to choose from!

I remember the time, my first time at Alexanderplatz. A lot of people around me, me making photos as always. I am always the photographer of the group. Never wanting to be in the pictuyre myself. The funny thing was, I was standing in the middle of a group of 50 people, without knowing of course. All clapping for the singers and dancers. I looked back over my shoulder, they all lied down on the ground, while the sun was shining. The routine was over, I stood in the middle of the routine for 10 minutes. Since then, "Alex" always looked crowded. All since that crazy summer day.

And if you really want to see a crowded Alexanderplatz, I heard that with Christmas and the Christmas markets it is even worse! Well, let’s see what happens around Christmas and if you can find me at Alexanderplatz or somewhere else!
